Kai, Ezshwan, and J.J. on the Bullet Train
platform in Japan.
A very significant and
historical
photograph: the last ever public performance by Kai Winding
and J.J.
Johnson.
In Ezshwan's own words: "[Here are]
Kai and J.J. playing in a reunion that only the Japanese
could
arrange. It was a tour of the All-Stars. It had been 25
years since
they played together and it was the last time I saw Kai
perform. It
was in the Yokohama stadium which held about
25,000 people. What a glorious day."
