Recorded from January to April 2000 at Banco Musical Studios (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Piermont Studios (New York, USA).

This album includes a track dedicated to Walter Wanderley, "Sambão".  Originally composed as an instrumental tune by Dom Um, specially for Walter's Kee-Ka-Roo album on Verve in 1967, now this song was recorded for the very first time with lyrics as a tribute to Walter Wanderley's artistry, featuring a superb organ solo by Paula Faour.

中南米から北米ネイチュアー・アメリカンまでのアメリカン・ラテン・リズムのおもちゃ箱をシャッフルしてひっくり返した最高の贈り物。ドン・ウン・ラモン はウエザー・リポートでその名を馳せたが、ここではサウンド・クリエイター、ヴォーカリスト(というよりホンカー)、パーカッショニストとして大活躍。全 曲が様々なリズムを包含した世界パーカッション物語~南北米編という感じ。もちろん、デオダート、ドリヴァル・カイミ、ルチアーノ・アルヴェスといった名 のあるミュージシャンが参加しているが、それ以上にラモンの作る世界が凄い。2000年1月から4月にかけてリオとニューヨークで録音されている。“ブ ルー・ボッサ”“ナイーマ”“アフロ・ブルー”といったジャズ系の曲に加え、リヴィヴァルヒット中の“マシュ・ケナダ”まで入っている。
